план Рузвельта по расширению состава Верховного Суда США. Попытка Ф. Д. Рузвельта по увеличению числа членов Верховного Суда, предпринятая им в 1930-е гг., когда некоторые консервативно настроенные члены Суда выразили мнение, что часть мероприятий «Нового курса» [*‘New Deal’] противоречит Конституции США. Конгресс высказался против увеличения состава Суда, а Рузвельт подвергся критике за попытку подорвать независимость судебной власти
